Writer's Block
Why start a new blog, when one already exists with its own character, history, and following? The answer is far more complicated than just because, but just because. The answer is also simple... when things are changing, a fresh start seems easier. To be honest, I have no idea what that means or what that will look like. But as the things in my life are entering into a time of transition, I figured that starting a new blog will help usher in and process the impact of these changes happening in my life.
Ten years ago, I was given the name Charlie by some of my closest friends. That name has stuck with me since then and while it has gone through its many variations (Charles, Charley, and more recently, Chuck), there is always a part of me that has remained. In the same way, I have decided to keep the blog name Writer's Block because despite the change in platform, audience, and content, there will always be something that remains.
Writer's Block, if it isn't already obvious, is a pun. It is the crossroads of being stuck with too many or too few thoughts to write down into coherent sentences and a space where I can find them and share them. While it feels like this blog is without direction, direction will come soon, but not as straightforwardly as we are used to. It will come in the form of understanding and patience because the process is never as smooth as the instructions lead us to believe. So I invite you all onto this adventure with me to see what happens next.
